Our Present Condition
It’s midnight and a drunk young girl is desperately trying to reach her home.
A dozen people surround her. Each one assuring, claiming, guaranteeing, luring and even threatening her to join them, to reach home.
Her mother ran down and said, ''sniff this herbal leaf and let your drunkenness go away. You will see you are right at the door of your own home.''
But the girl does not want to remove her drunkenness.
She is perplexed and keeps running after this and that stranger and getting nowhere .
Each one of us, the whole humanity is like this drunken girl. All religions are like strangers leading her away from her sweet home.
Hinduism is like the mother. All that Hinduism is asking is, "Hey guys, just get out of your drunkenness of being stuck in maya-moha" ( I-my-me notion ). Then you need not go anywhere or do anything. Just get rid of maya-moha and you are standing right at the door of the reservoir of peace and happiness .
